The story of Living Oak...

In 2018 I came up with the idea of ​​creating a coffee table with oak planks and hairpin legs. This table was so well received by friends and acquaintances that I thought about how to bring this great product closer to other people. In 2019 it became reality. Living Oak was born.
For my products, I work with a local sawmill where I source the wood for my projects. In the second step, the first level of processing is carried out by a carpenter and the finishing touches are then made at my home. Finishing the edges, oiling the surface and also the assembly. In this project I attach great importance to sustainability. For example, the oak wood comes only from German forests and is even FSC and PEFC certified, and to compensate for the CO2 emissions for the shipping routes, I donate part of my sales to a reforestation project in Germany.
